The first sessions for the Newham Family Tree project are due to start in January 2014

The first session of the Newham Family Tree pilot programme will kick off in January 2014 with a ‘train the facilitators’ session for older helpers/adult coordinators.

The Newham Family Tree project sessions are led by Anna Carlile from Goldsmiths University with students at local Newham schools including London Academy of Excellence, Lister Community School and Langdon School. We are excited by our partnerships with Newham secondary schools and groups also including West Ham United Community Trust Kickz Group and Community Links School.

We would like to thank Lister Community School for kindly hosting the training session.

We are looking ahead to our next session with young people which will see young people learning research approaches including for example how to ‘reach a research question’.

Look out for more updates!
