Dennis Stevenson has been a serial entrepreneur since the age of 25 (with some spells as part time Chairman of large companies, Pearson plc, GPA plc and HBOS plc).

Outside business he has had an extensive involvement in the arts (past Chairman of the Trustees of the Tate and of Aldeburgh Music etc etc).

He is currently Chairman of Insight: Research for Mental Health, the new mental health research charity and Inter Mediate, a conflict resolution NGO.

He is a member of the House of Lords and from 2000-2008 was the Founding Chairman of the House of Lords Appointments Commission.
