As the Spring term draws to an end, and with presentations planned for only a few weeks after the start of next term, our groups are working hard to finalise their research.
One group at Lister Community School, who are looking at Business and the Local Economy have hosted two members of the Friends of Queens Market campaign, to find out what the market has contributed to the area and the lives of those who use the market. After the interview, Abdul reflected that he enjoyed being ‘in the hotseat’ and sharing part of his Newham story, and that the project would benefit from having the input of a mix of people from different backgrounds.
Whilst pupils of London Academy of Excellence have put the public and their peers in the spotlight on themes of Gender and Mental Health in a plan to generate baseline data and assess the local opinions.
