A Very Big Thank You!

Mapping Newham

We’d like to thank the students from around the borough who took part in the first phase of our pilot programme in Newham. Students from Lister School, Langdon School, the London Academy of Excellence and the West Ham United FC Kikz programme researched the history of diversity in their area and the benefits this diversity has brought. They have been collecting information and interviews with local residents, and presented their findings at West Ham United FC.

We’re about to run the second stage, where we will be engaging with community groups, businesses, archives, local media and individuals from across the borough – to get stories, anecdotes, pictures and films. We’re looking for volunteer researchers to help with this, to see the role description, click here. And if you want to find out more, or get involved after the deadline, we’d welcome your help.
